Solar Eclipse of 11th August 1999.

Here are some photos taken from Muscat during the partial solar eclipse of 11th August 1999. At maximum, the sun was 87.8% obscured, at 1624 Oman Local Time. Each photo carries a time tag on it so you can follow the Moon's movement quite nicely. There was some light cloud at the beginning of the eclipse but it got really heavy after 1700. Some sunspots can be seen in the early photos. West is towards the bottom of the photos. The large photo clearly shows sunspots. The bluish colouration is from the solar filter used.
